Singer Lindsey Morgan Faber honors Veterans

Enjoy an evening of First Friday fun and music at historic Saint Andrew's Church in Downtown Friday. Singer Lindsey Morgan Faber will honor veterans with performances at 6 and 7 p.m. Treat yourself to free refreshments, tour the church's elegant stained glass windows and ring an old-fashioned church bell.

Visual Art Society of B/CS invites you to their monthly meeting with demonstration, entitled "The Peace & Wonder of Tangling", the public is invited!11//1/21 @ 11:30am to 1:00pm , The demonstration will be by artist Cindy Rae Fanjoer, a certified Zentangle teacher who will demonstrate how to enjoy the peace and wonder of creating art with drawing (tangles).

“The Death of Captain Pilecki”

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will be showing the film “The Death of Captain Pilecki” at the Texas A&M Bush Conference Center on Thursday, November 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Hagler Auditorium.  This event is open to the public! In addition, November 11 is the 103rd anniversary of Poland’s Independence of the Second Republic and the star of the movie, Marek Probosz will be in attendance to make comments. Jim Olsen, Professor at the The Bush School of Government & Public Service and Former Head of the CIA in Moscow during the Cold War will be making comments after the film. A note about the film: “Captain Witold Pilecki volunteered to be captured and imprisoned in Auschwitz to bring the story of the Nazi death camp to the world. Ironically, he survived the ordeal and survived World War II only to be executed as a traitor by his own countrymen for colluding with Western “imperialists.”
